Hot for Dogs...

It maybe cool for cats right now, but it's hot for dogs with the scorching summer heat. 

Keep your canine friends comfortable by making sure they have plenty of water. Have their coats trimmed so as they aren't carrying excess hot fur. Mature waggers might be more docile with the heat so let them snooze away from the sun. Shading their snooze spots helps manage the rays.

When out walking it is extra important to have water and the means to drink it with. If the forecast is hight het for the day think about walking before 12 and after 3, thereby avoiding the high heat. The ditty Mad dogs and Englishmen rings true for a reason...

Stuart Jones, Littlefinger and now Dave Allen : Aidan Gillen to portray comedian in biopic

Compelling actor Aidan Gillen is set to star in a biopic of Irish comedian Dave Allen. Exploding onto the screen as Stuart Jones in Manchester gay scene drama Queer as Folk (Channel 4 UK), being Tommy Carcetti in The Wire (HBO) and machinating as Petyr Baelish / Littlefinger in Game of Thrones (HBO), Gillen tends to bring body and soul characterisation to his roles. Dave Allen was lauded and loathed for his comic  takedowns, especially of the Church, and was regularly featured in his BBC show with a cigarette and whisky  while weaving his comic stories.  The biopic is slated for screening in the 2018/19 season, premiering on BBC2 in UK and RTE Ireland.
